Platform Requirements for Operation
- Nomina ICT will run on any current Windows Operating System, including Windows 2000 SP3,
Windows XP Professional, and Windows Vista Home and Professional. Operation on Mac OSX and
Unix platforms is not supported at this time.
- Any relatively recent hardware (1.8 Ghz or faster) will suffice, but Nominasoft's
ICT software can take advantage of the newest platforms offering multi-core processing
for even better performance. Nomina ICT will consistently outperform spreadsheet
and database applications by up to forty times on any given platform.
- 1 GB RAM is the working minimum for Nomina ICT Pro, but Nomina ICT
light has special load settings which allow it to cope with inadequate memory at the
expense of longer run times. We feel that upgrading memory will pay for itself in
just a few weeks - it's an inexpensive way to save staff time.
- Nomina ICT supports any physical media or remote network server that can be mapped
as a network drive or recognized as a drive under the Operating System.
- The software can also run on systems without network access when local
security policy includes the use of secure "air gap" firewalls, as used in high
security military and security installations.
- Any printer with available Windows OS Drivers can be used to print basic reports.
More advanced .PDF viewers such as acrobat (or any of the many alternatives) will be needed to
view the advanced reports, and full color output is supported if needed.
